About Us
Our Purpose
Founded in 2020, SWY Foundation was established to financially support Black students who are seeking higher education and/or entrepreneurial goals. The foundation not only awards scholarships to high school seniors, but it also opens educational savings plans (529 Plan) for Black students entering the 3rd grade.
Scholarships
Every year as tuition increases, a dream is deferred. To assist with tuition costs, we are offering a $1k scholarship to a deserving student enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree. Click the scholarship button below to find out more.

529 Award
The SWY 529 Award is a 529 educational account opened by the Foundation through ScholarShare529. This specific award is different from a scholarship, as a 529 plan is a type of savings and investment account in which money grows tax-free if the withdrawals are for qualified education expenses. We offer this award early in a child’s life to have time for the plan to mature.
